Anna Rivas, originally from Bogota Colombia, is a Toronto-based artist. She started her training in Ballet at a young age in Colombia at Ballet Anna Pavlova. She continued her training in China at Katie Wu Ballet Studio and Etoile Ballet studio with Mr. Wang.

Throughout her studies, in Colombia and in China, she performed as a soloist in classical ballets such as The Sleeping Beauty and Don Quixote, and as part of the corps of ballet in other ballets such as The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. At the age of 18, she moved to New York City to receive professional training at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in all styles of dance, singing and acting. Afterwards she moved to Toronto to continue her classical ballet training at George Brown College with Jörgen Dance Academy.

She has trained in ballet, modern, contemporary, theater dance, jazz, tap, and more with teachers such as Michael Crawford, Ramon Galindo, Rebecca Arends and Cynthia Macedo. Anna additionally received singing and acting training. Anna’s favorite hobby is learning languages, she can speak Spanish, English, and French fluently, and has an intermediate level of Mandarin Chinese.
